Change Maker Fund: 13th and Bloom Give Back đŸ«¶đŸŸ


13th and Bloom believes in building up our communities - "we've got us" - as some close friends and family will say it! Because of this, 13th and Bloom has committed to pouring 10% of all proceeds back into the youth in our communities.

We are passionate about doing the right thing and making a change in this world and believe that it all starts with one - one person to do the right thing that will have an impact on another, and another, and “another one” 😉.  And we wanna be there to help positively influence the change we all need.

So we’re happy to announce the Feed Your Soul Change Maker Fund - a scholarship fund created to fuel the fire and feed the souls of our young change makers.

Bi-annually (twice per year), 13th and Bloom will award 2 students with a grant/scholarship to help remove obstacles and set them up for success on their journey to change.  This will be a monetary award + selected technology based on the proceeds 13th and Bloom at the time of award.

The first grant will be awarded to a student in February 2023 and the second will be awarded in August 2023.

WHO CAN ENTER?

🗣🗣Any and all high school students in NJ and yes, we mean ANY.  
*High School = freshman year or above.  

HOW DO YOU ENTER?

Submit this form below for your chance to enter to win the grant.  Within your entry, tell us about you.  We want to hear who you are, what school you go to, what your interests are, and the best fun fact of all, we want to know what your dreams are.  We want you to think through the lens of “anything is possible” and tell us what your dream profession is.

Then, we want to hear about your current academic record, any extra curricula activities you’ve participate in, and what types of change you would like to make in your community and why.  Your community could equal your freshman class or it could be the community you live in - shout your success and what you’re working on from the rooftops.

CONSIDERATION / QUALIFICATION

  • Must live in NJ
  • Parent or Guardian must be available to communicate and share consent to be considered for all minors (under 18 years old)
  • Must be a current high school student at the time of entry; okay to be transitioning into first year of college.
  • Must have current GPA of 3.0 or better at the time of application and be willing to share grades or transcript 
  • Must be willing to share images of your projects/community work when contacted 

FINE PRINT

  • 1 ENTRY PER STUDENT
  • 2 STUDENTS AWARDED EVERY 6 MONTHS, ONE 
  •  MINIMUM OF $1,000.00 AWARD PER STUDENT; MAX OF $5,000.00 + technology item + $250 (or more to be invested in stock)
  • Monetary award will be provided in check form addressed to the recipient - if a minor, guardian will also be listed
  • Time is of the essence; if you are selected, we will need a response within 7 days.  Within the 7 days, you will receive 1 reminder e-mail asking you to confirm your entry - if no response within the 7 days, you will forfeit your entry as will select another student for the award.

We expect our giving to evolve and we will re-evaluate after the 2023 year.  We also expect to ggive pop-up grant awards throughout the year based off of our projected volume.

  • FEB 28, 2023 = Submit by JANUARY 15, 2023
  • AUG 31, 2023 = Submit by JULY 15, 2023
